Part of a series of images exploring internet subculture and the furry fandom, Voyeurism by ~Cocytus-Crocus is an intriguing example of a slice of life rarely seen by an artist whose gallery is packed with gritty, authentic portraiture on film. ( Featured by RockstarVanity )

While the pose is quite natural and cute, one of the cat ears seem to be a little too towards the top of his head rather than the side, and I'm not too fond of the angle or quality of the photo, and the hints of brown seem out of place, in my opinion.

the angle was an attempt to simulate "peeking in" on the subject. I tried to make it seem like an active viewer just turning one's head and coming across it, catching only a little glimpse of the subject. It's grainy, yes, (the print quality is actually quite fine), some enjoy the "grittiness" but I can see the desire for a clearer image, though I think that would take away a little bit from the bizarre documentary quality.

Yes, I can understand the motif behind the shot, but since you shot half the side of the room and half the boy, there is mainly wall to look at towards the center of the picture, and this is a bit of a shame, seeing as the boy's pose is really sure intimate and the picture has a very intimate, secretive feel about it - the angle just doesn't work to its full potential. I understand the discreet-looking snapshot, but it just doesn't show enough to appease the sense, in my humble opinion.
Other than that, and the quality issue, the subject himself is quite sweetly posed and there's a tender feel towards him, which I really enjoy. Congrats on the DD in any case, I'm happy you got it :)

thanks a lot for your input, I'm happy to see some intelligent criticism (and for pointing out the brown, didn't notice that). Glad you are picking up on what I am going for and offering ways to go about it differently. I did more straightforward portraiture and shots of that pose as well, just went with this one, I like it but I totally see where you're coming from. Again, thank you for being polite and civil about it.

No problem :aww: your shot interested me, and I thought I'd pitch in my two cents, is all :)
There will always be those who will write pointless and derisive one-liners or attempt clever insults, they're not worth paying much attention to.
Glad to see you're open to improvement though, you have much potential

it's a shitty scan, yes. Forgot to even grayscale it. That's embarrassing.
